Shahd Alqarout

Support Officer

Shahd Alqarout works at "Hope for Children" CRC Policy Center as a Support Officer and Cultural Mediator at ''Home For Hope'' for unaccompanied children, in Nicosia. Shahd holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the Frederick University. Her responsibilities includes managing the needs of the children accommodated on a daily basis and provide support to them. 

She is also organizing and implementing educational activities and workshops on topics such as social skills, multiculturalism, integration in the local society and Cypriot culture, aiming in the smoother social integration of the children. 

In the previous years, she gained experience by completing her internship in Humanitarian Organizations, at the Multifunctional Foundation of Nicosia and in a Home for Elderly People.
