Irena Georgiadou

Senior Advisory Board Member

Irena Georgiadou was born in 1978 in Nicosia, Cyprus. She is a Member of the Board of Directors of Hellenic Bank Public Company Limited, a Member of the Board of Governors of the Cyprus International Institute of Management and a Chair of its audit committee and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation. Ms. Georgiadou is also a Senior Advisor Board member of the “Hope for Children” CRC Policy Centre.

She has served as the Chairperson of the Hellenic Bank Group until May 2017. She is now chairing the Integration Committee of Hellenic Bank, regarding the acquisition of the COOP perimeter.

Previously she served as a Commissioner for the Reform of the Cyprus Civil Service as well as an Advisor to the Cyprus Minister of Finance and the Director of the Minster of Finance’s office.

She has extensive professional experience, having served in managerial positions in public and private companies.

She studied Politics and Economics (BSc – 1998) at the University of Bristol UK, and is professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA – 2001) and as a Corporate Financier (CF – 2006) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
