Elena Demetriou

Social Worker

Elena Demetriou works as a Social Worker at “Hope for Children” CRC Policy Center for the Foster Department, since 2019. Elena holds a degree in Social Work from the Technological Educational Institute of Crete and is in the process of obtaining the postgraduate diploma in Social Work and Social Administration of Frederick University

She has a professional experience of 13 years as a Social Worker in several areas. She has worked in different departments of non profit organizations such as  SKE Pitsilias which supported vulnerable population groups, people with disabilities, the elderly, single parent families and many more.

Elena also worked in the Pancyprian Disability Rehabilitation Center in Limassol and served people with disabilities. Moreover, Elena  worked in the Cyprus Anticancer Association having as a main target group cancer patients and their families.

Finally she worked on the coordination of 5 European actions/programs and specifically on the coordination, evaluation and carrying out of specific actions on a strict timetable.
