Efi Kammitsi Eliades

Born in Nicosia in 1971, she attended the English School Nicosia and went on to study in the UK where she received a Bachelor’s Honours Degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Southampton in in 1992. She continued her studies at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, from where she received a Master’s Degree in European Economic Studies in 1994. Her work experience includes training at the UN Offices in Geneva and at the European Commission in Brussels. Upon her return to Cyprus, she worked in the banking and financial sector as an officer at the Laiki Group Planning & Development Department as well as the Cyprus Stock Exchange as a broker and director at CS Capital Securities Ltd. Following the above, she continued her career at the Directorate of Economic Research and EU Affairs of the Ministry of Finance as an economist, and then at the Health Insurance Organisation (HIO) as a senior officer working on the implementation of the Cyprus National Health System (NHS).
