Costas Demetriou

Clinical Psychologist

Costas Demetriou works as a Clinical Psychologist at the “Children’s House” of  “Hope for Children” CRC Policy Center. His duties include the provision of services to minor victims of sexual abuse, like psychological assessment, therapy and psychoeducation to children and their families. He is a licensed and registered Clinical Psychologist. 

Costas holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. During his studies, he did his practicum as a Clinical Psychologist to a psychiatric hospital, a counseling center for adults and children and a therapeutic program for drug rehabilitation. He attended a various seminars and trainings and he is certified of delivering TF-CBT, a therapeutic approach focused on trauma survivors, and delivering the cognitive psychometric assessment, WISC V – Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children V. 

Prior to his current position, Costas worked in a private office delivering psychological services to a variety of psychological demands. He was also an associate to the Department of Social Integration of People with Disabilities and to the Network of Empowering and Family Reunification. He was also cooperating with the Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family (SPAVO). As a volunteer, he was involved in the work of the Movement of Rehabilitation and Promotion of Mental Health, and the Committee for the Supervision and Protection of the Rights of Mental Health Patients.
