{"id":34656,"date":"2022-01-14T09:52:52","date_gmt":"2022-01-14T07:52:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uncrcpc.org.cy\/?post_type=project&#038;p=34656"},"modified":"2022-01-20T17:12:12","modified_gmt":"2022-01-20T15:12:12","slug":"care-leaving-with-care-living-with-care","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"http:\/\/staging.uncrcpc.org.cy.dedi3501.your-server.de\/en\/project\/care-leaving-with-care-living-with-care\/","title":{"rendered":"CARE &#8211;  Leaving with care \u2013 Living with care"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>CARE project aims at investigating what is the trauma that children may experience during the processes of investigation, removal and out-of-home placement and what can first responders, such as social workers, police officers, medical practitioners and helpline operators, do in order to reduce this trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specific objectives of CARE project include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Promotion of inter-sectoral coordination, cooperation and mutual understanding among public authorities, NGOs and educational institutions on trauma-informed responses to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) during these processes,<\/li><li>Improvement of the first responders\u2019 skills, capacities and practices on trauma-informed practices and responses,<\/li><li>Enhancement of the awareness of teachers about the effects of trauma on children,<\/li><li>Empowerment of children in residential care and improvement of child participation,<\/li><li>Exchange of good practices and experiences among different EU countries.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Main activities to reach these objectives contemplate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Establishment of national expert working groups with the participation of experts from police, prosecutors, social services, medical and nursing staff, residential care providers, helpline operators and teachers,<\/li><li>Development of European Set Trauma \u2013 Informed Approaches,<\/li><li>Training of first responders (social workers, police officers, medical practitioners, helpline operators),<\/li><li>Integration and evaluation of ACE\/Trauma-informed approaches,<\/li><li>Policy recommendations handbook,<\/li><li>Awareness raising documentary with children voices.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is funded by the Rights, Equality &amp; Citizenship Programme of the European Commission (Ref.
