{"id":33752,"date":"2021-12-16T14:51:07","date_gmt":"2021-12-16T12:51:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uncrcpc.org.cy\/?post_type=project&#038;p=33752"},"modified":"2022-07-21T12:45:36","modified_gmt":"2022-07-21T09:45:36","slug":"form","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"http:\/\/staging.uncrcpc.org.cy.dedi3501.your-server.de\/en\/project\/form\/","title":{"rendered":"FORM"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Not only adults and families with children try to reach Europe to start a better life but also youngsters and even children arrive in Europe without the guidance of a parent. &nbsp;Now more than ever with the tragic and ongoing war in Ukraine, which sees a growing number of unaccompanied minors fleeing the conflict,&nbsp; foster care services report an enormous need to offer <strong>therapeutic&nbsp;&#8220;healing and development oriented&#8221; &#8211; care<\/strong> for these <strong>youngsters<\/strong> and their <strong>foster families<\/strong>. Furthermore, national authorities are extremely challenged on how Unaccompanied Minor Refugees (UMR) have to be taken care of, according to national and international standards of child care and children&#8217;s rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;the frame of the FORM project, <strong>Therapeutic foster care for unaccompanied minors and their foster families, <\/strong>6 partners from 4 EU countries, including&nbsp;<strong>Belgium<\/strong> (Odisee University College, Foster care East Flanders v.z.w. Ghent), <strong>Germany<\/strong> (University of Kassel), <strong>Italy<\/strong> (Centro Nazionale Opere Salesiane, ENSA European Network for Social Authorities)&nbsp;and <strong>Cyprus (<\/strong>&#8220;Hope For Children&#8221; CRC Policy Center), join efforts&nbsp;to bring together knowledge and experiences for empowerment and&nbsp;social inclusion of UMR and their Foster Families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The main outcomes are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A <strong>literature review on research and on existing guidance and practices <\/strong>in the context of foster care within the European member state countries;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A<strong> guidance model<\/strong> &#8211; to be used by <strong>professional foster care workers<\/strong> &#8211; for the <strong>delivery of therapeutic care for minor refugees and their foster families<\/strong>.
