{"id":7568,"date":"2020-03-31T10:01:34","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T07:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uncrcpc.org.cy\/?p=7568"},"modified":"2020-05-14T16:48:49","modified_gmt":"2020-05-14T13:48:49","slug":"e300000-worth-of-electronic-equipment-donated-to-the-children-of-cyprus-by-hope-for-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/staging.uncrcpc.org.cy.dedi3501.your-server.de\/en\/e300000-worth-of-electronic-equipment-donated-to-the-children-of-cyprus-by-hope-for-children\/","title":{"rendered":"\u20ac300,000 worth of electronic equipment donated to the children of Cyprus by  Hope For Children"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>\u201cHope For Children\u201d CRC Policy Center<\/strong> in cooperation with the Ministry\nof Education, will donate new electronic equipment to all children in need at\nsecondary education in Cyprus, so that they can take part in distance-learning.\nThe total funds given will amount to over \u20ac300,000, and over 2,100 devices will\narrive in Cyprus on a specially chartered government flight, used for medical\nand other supplies from China, later in the week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHope For Children\u201d CRC Policy expressed their thanks to the Minister of\nEducation, the Embassy of Cyprus in China, the Presidency of the Republic and the\nPresident of the Parliament that contributed to the realization of this effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The needs however are a lot, and because of this Hope For Children calls\nupon companies, stakeholders, organizations and organized groups to contribute\nto the organization\u2019s initiative in order to donate electronic equipment to the\nchildren of Cyprus. The goal is that within the next days, the organization\ncovers the needs of students of elementary education as well. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>No child should remain without\nthe chance to access to education. We also thank the company Logicom for\nalready responding to this call\u201d, \u201c<\/em>Hope For Children\u201d CRC Policy Center\nstressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is noted that electronic equipment will also be donated to all the children\nof Lyreio Foundation in Attica, since part of the funds dedicated to the\npurchase of the equipment comes from the unallocated funds raised during the\ncampaign #standbygreece organized in the summer of 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As stated by Mr. Joseph Borghese, Director-General of Hope For Children,\n\u00ab<em>It is our priority as an organization, to\nstand next to the children and families especially during crisis times such as\nthe one we are going though.
